Recently, the Qingdao Municipal Development and Reform Commission announced the "2024 Qingdao Service Industry Key Projects List," in which the "Qingdao Tulip Project", invested, constructed, and operated by Qingdao Gupu, was successfully selected.
Qingdao City's Key Service Industry Projects for 2024
The "Qingdao Tulip Project" is located in Guxian Town, Pingdu, Qingdao. The planned area for the project spans 3,000 acres, with a total investment of 500 million yuan, to be developed in four phases. Its goal is to create an integrated industrial park that encompasses tulip planting, fresh-cut flowers, themed gardens, tourism development, product processing, and bulb breeding.
The project deeply integrates international advanced technology and management measures, combining functions such as warehousing, processing, and distribution. The newly built 5000 square meters of Dutch standard smart preservation warehouse will utilize "zero carbon" technology, with solar panels installed on the roof for power generation, connected to the park's grid; at the same time, energy consumption is saved by increasing the thickness of the insulation layer, thereby improving energy efficiency.
In the future, Gupu will focus on introducing excellent Dutch tulip varieties, advanced planting experiences, and automated equipment into the "Qingdao Tulip Project". The aim is to establish it as a benchmark for large-scale field cultivation and greenhouse floriculture in China. Furthermore, the goal is to become the leading brand in China for tulip bulbs and fresh cut flowers, contributing to Qingdao's national strategy of becoming an international seed capital.
