Our sand filter units are available in two models
QEP ZF-A is an autonomous sand filtration device, which is usually used to fill daily water tanks with fresh water. The comprehensive control system on the sand filtration unit makes the filling of the storage tank fully automated.
QEP ZF-S is a sand filtration device that can be integrated into existing automation systems.
QEP ZF-S allows sand filters to be used before or after mixing or irrigation installations.
The sand filter can be controlled either from the mixing unit or by the climate computer. This means that the flushing of the sand filter can easily and automatically be controlled by the irrigation computer.
The sand filter can also be used for filtering the return drain water from the greenhouse. In this set-up, a combination with a UV disinfection unit is often used.Depending on the required capacity, you can choose between a single unit and a unit with a double sand filter. A double sand filter obviously has a bigger capacity, due to the parallel functionality. Both types of sand filter units are standard equipped with a screen type mechanical filter. This filter is integrated in the outgoing system of the sand filter unit to prevent, in case of an internal defect, the sand from entering the clean water system.
